The In Tank Softening Pouch is designed for pour over (reservoir) espresso machines. To install, remove the “Oscar” from its packaging and rinse with cold water. Then, place the softener at the bottom of the water reservoir and fill with water. This process utilizes ionic exchange to replace calcium and magnesium ions with sodium ions, in both soluble and insoluble forms, making your drinking water cleaner and softer. It’s a simple and effective solution for maintaining the quality of your espresso machine’s water.

How it Works
To illustrate the effectiveness of our in tank softening pouch, we have included a chart below that correlates the number of grains of hardness in your water with the corresponding amount of water that can be softened. For example, 5 grains of hardness can soften 23 gallons of water, while 10 grains of hardness can soften 11 1/2 gallons of water. Our pouches are designed to efficiently soften even the hardest water.
Note
Pouch must be changed at least every 18 months from the date of installation or which ever comes first in usage.
